Bespoke Timber Profiles
At Alsford we produce a wide range of standard timber profiles and mouldings in both Redwood Softwood, and, American White Oak and Meranti Hardwoods, all at our own mill in Erith, Kent.
In addition to our range of standard profiles, we can produce any bespoke mouldings to meet your exact specifications, size, and profile.
These might be a complex architectural profile to match a Victorian feature cornice or skirting, or a single length of planed hardwood to an exact finished size for a door threshold.
We can work with you on bespoke designs for yourself or your customer. We can also match a profile from an existing sample.

The Bespoke Timber Moulding process utilises a 3-step process.
A sample of the profile is scanned into our design software. Alternately for new designs, the design requested is uploaded.
A metal cutting tool is created for your bespoke profile utilsing precision machining. This metal cutting tool is held in our mill for 10 years allowing for easy repeat orders.
Your bespoke timber profile is produced via our Powermat P2400 machine, creating you a perfect profile match.

Bespoke profiles and finished-sized sections can be machined from a wide range of common and exotic timber species. If you require a variety of timber we do not hold in stock, we will source the timber for your project from a reputable and sustainable source.
Our experienced team store your exact-match cutting tool free of charge, so that you can return to this profile repeatedly over time.

Prices will vary depending on the amount of material required, the species of timber and the complexity of the profile.
Special profiles can also be sent off for treatment once machined.
