Treatment Tank Services
The Alsford Treatment Tank was installed in 2025 as a major expansion of the timber services offered at the Alsford Mill & Manufacturing Centre.
Our Treatment Tank can provide both UC2, UC3 and UC4 green pressure-treatment.
The Alsford Treatment Tank can treat timber products up to 8.4m length.
Timber products that can be treated at Alsford include:
Softwood Timber Framing and Floor Joists
Cladding and Roof Shingles
Fence Posts, Rails and Stakes
Decking Boards, Garden Sleepers and Planters
Our treatment tank is used to treat timber with wood preservative, creating "tanalised" or green pressure-treated wood. This treatment process forces copper and organic biocides deep into the timber cell structure, protecting it from rot, fungal decay, and insect attack.
Green pressure-treatment is primarily used for softwoods (like pine or redwood) intended for long-term outdoor, structural, or ground-contact use.
