Firrings
Our timber firrings are treated inhouse to UC3.
Milled with the standard taper between ends, timber firrings are used in flat roof projects to give adequate fall over the roof span for the rain to fall off.
Nominal sizes: 45 × 50mm, 47 × 75mm, 47 × 100mm.
Available in lengths of 3.6m, 4.2m and 4.8m.
Kindling
As part of our efforts to reduce timber wastage, Alsford now offer Kiln-dried kindling.
Timber kindling is a popular starter for open fires, log burners, fire pits, and chimineas.
This lightweight wood catches fire quickly, providing a consistent heat source to ignite larger logs with ease.
Our kindling is made from a balanced mix of softwood and hardwood.
